Tom Sunderland – EL QUESO GRANDE

After earning of BA in History and Geography from the University of Colorado-Boulder, Tom refused to use his degrees and worked and instead began landscaping for various companies in and around Boulder. After earning his MLA in 2001 Tom founded Native Edge with one employee, himself. Alongside overseeing the companies daily operations, Tom contributes as a board member for both the Pro Green EXPO (the region’s largest annual conference and trade show for the Green Industry) and Children’s Rejoice, a Christian based non-profit organization formed to support children in Nepal.
Elizabeth Ochsner – VALUE PROPOSITION CHIEF
Lead Landscape Architect / VP of Design-Build Sales
After earning a MLA from the University of Colorado-Denver in 1997, Elizabeth worked for several years as an associate at a Lafayette based community and parks planning firm, where she led teams through project design and construction documents for a number of large projects. She began working for Native Edge Associates in 2006 and since then has successfully designed and managed a diverse range of award winning projects, including residential historical landmarks, mountain estates, and multi-family residential.
Becky Hammond – VALUE PROPOSITION SAMURAI
Lead Landscape Architect
A Boulder native, Becky earned a B.A. in Spanish from Stanford and worked as an interpreter/translator for a large international City Planning firm in Denver where she discovered the field of landscape architecture. After pursuing her own business selling Native American art while living on the Navajo Reservation and raising her two children, she earned her B.S. in Landscape Architecture in 1995. Becky has designed and managed over 200 diverse projects including five award winners. Her design experience encompasses water features, mountain and historic sites, large estates, childrens play spaces and meditation gardens. She currently serves as the Vice-President for the Associated Landscape Contractors of Colorado.
